Nagaur Festival


Nagaur Festival, Rajasthan Fair & Festival The Nagaur Festival of Rajasthan, held in Nagaur district of Rajasthan, is the second largest cattle fair in India. The Nagaur Festival in India is organised every year during the Hindu month of Magh (Jan-Feb) whose basic purpose is cattle trading. The cattle fair includes the purchasing and selling of cows, bullocks, oxen and camels.

Their well-groomed owners dressed in the traditional clothes and colorful turbans and long moustaches accompany the well-decorated cattle or the animals. Also the wooden items, Ironware and leather accessories are sold during the fair. Various games take place during this four-day Nagaur Festival in Rajasthan.

The speculatory Tug-of-War between cattle, camel races, cock & bullfights act as the fine entertaining activities for the tourists. As the evening approaches, the tourists also have an opportunity to relish the Rajasthani dance and music in the Nagaur Festival in Rajasthan. The sightseeing tour of Nagaur is also a nice option for the tourists coming here for attending the fair. Badal Mahal, Sheesh Mahal & Hadi Rani Mahal are worth visiting.
